RAPSON DRIVES BANGWE NEAR RELEGATION EXIT

Bangwe All Stars attacker, Richard Rapson, was in top form after scoring a goal and assisting other two to inspire the team to a 3-0 win over fellow relegation zone side, Baka City at the Balaka Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

After playing a barren 45 minutes, Rapson stepped up to assist substitute Kondwani Chilembwe for an opener before scoring a beauty for himself and finally assisted Clever Chikwata who wrapped up the game to take the team near relegation zone exit.

After guiding the team to a second win in the TNM Super League under his leadership, Trevor Kajawa was happy with the win.

He said: "It was a tough game as our friends were coming from a 10-0 defeat in hands of Wanderers so they gave us a tough time mostly in the first half but I talked to the boys that this is not what we agreed and they came a changed side in the second then we got those goals."

Bangwe All Stars are now 14th with 18 points from 21 games.
