CHAWINGA, KABZERE PLAY THEIR FIRST 2025 MATCHES
Scorchers internationals, Tabitha Chawinga and Rose Kabzere, have played their first matches in 2025 as they help their respective teams to pick win in the Arkema Premiership in France.
Chawinga played the whole 90 minutes in a game that Olympic Lyonnais beat Dijon 2-0 to reclaim the top spot with 31 points from 11 games and a game in hand as second placed PSG has 29 points from 12 games.
Meanwhile, Kabzere's Montpellier moved up to fifth in the standings thanks to a classy 1-2 win over Strasbourg on Wednesday.
Kabzere was introduced on 66th minute and really helped the team offensively to score twice and claim maximum points.
In another match that involved a Malawian, Charles Petro played for 45 minutes as FC Botosan drew 1-1 against Ludogorets in a friendly match on Tuesday.
